AdShortcuts is a program that could be considered as unwanted. It functions by opening a browser window, and redirecting to several other pages before it takes you to the correct site.

This piece of malware comes bundled with other software, and typically is integrated in to that software. It creates the following files.

• %UserProfile%\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\[FILENAME].lnk
• %UserProfile%\Application Data\Desktopicon\[FILENAME].exe
• %UserProfile%\Desktop\[FILENAME].lnk
• %UserProfile%\Start Menu\[FILENAME].lnk

1. Terminate the process "%UserProfile%\Application Data\Desktopicon\[FILENAME].exe"
2. Delete the following files:
   • %UserProfile%\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\[FILENAME].lnk
   • %UserProfile%\Application Data\Desktopicon\[FILENAME].exe
   • %UserProfile%\Desktop\[FILENAME].lnk
   • %UserProfile%\Start Menu\[FILENAME].lnk
3. Remove the following directory, and all files. "%ProgramFiles%\Unlocker"
